History of car after first team Darrin Brassfield raced the
full 1988 season and first four races of 1989. He had other commitments and
went on to race Nascar Winston Cup and CART in 1989. The car has been in Brassfield’s
garage since 1990.
Condition when retired (or found) I purchased the car from
the original owner, Jerry Brassfield. The car was in excellent shape and just
needed some minor work done as it had been sitting for almost 20 years. The
car only had 17 races on it and was then “parked” until I purchased
the car in 2007.
Restored The car is in original mint condition. After sitting since 1990, the original Ryan Falconer engine fired right up. Some minor graphic changes to replicate the 1988 season.
Restored back to represent what part of its history - 1988
Who performed the restoration and/or race prep – Mike Haemmig
